Is the glass half empty, or is it half full?
Chances are, we have all heard this particular question asked before, and as simple as it seems, if you really think about it, it can be used as a metaphor for many of life’s situations that we have to deal with from time to time.
Law of Attraction
The opposite of optimism is pessimism. When you are being pessimistic, you are giving off negative energy. This in turn will draw negative energy to you.
On the other hand, if you are optimistic, you will both draw and exude positive energy. This is known as “The Law of Attraction.”
There’s a reason for it
Have you ever started the day off on the wrong foot and consequently, the remainder of that day just seemed to suck for some way or another? I think we all have.
However, if you begin your day with positive thoughts and a smile, these days often go well with no unexpected snags, or snafus. Think it’s a coincidence? Personally, I don’t believe in coincidences.
Everything happens for a reason, though we might not always understand it at the time.
Keep at it, it’s worth it
I’m not suggesting that it’s easy to be optimistic at all times, in all situations.
Being optimistic is a choice and sometimes it takes practice, but wouldn’t you want to surround yourself with positive energy, as opposed to negative?
Optimism brings positive energy. Pessimism brings negative. Which do you choose?
